Hi all,

I'm letting a house where the tenants have lived for 4-5 months. They've provided a month's deposit as well as two months' rent but have refused to pay for the past 2 months' occupation (running to 3 months now). I have emailed a request for payment but received no response. I have read several posts that speak of a letter of demand - do I get attorneys to do this for me? How should I approach this matter?

Any advice will be appreciated!

Thanks

TPN credit bureau can help you with sending a letter of demand. Are you a TPN member?

If yes, then log onto TPN, select letter of demand, follow the prompts and TPN will send your tenant the letter of demand on your behalf. Cost = R25.00.

If you are not a TPN member, the go to www.tpn.co.za, subscribe online - there is an occasional user option. Once you have TPN member access, you can login, select letter of demand, follow the promts and we will send the letter of demand on your behalf (cost = R25.00)

My number at TPN is 0861 876 000
