Research has proved that a Letter of Demand from an attorney or credit bureau has a greater impact on the debtor, in this case the tenant, than a letter drafted by the estate agent / landlord.

For this purpose TPN has added the Letter of Demand. The letter is a legally branded TPN Letter of Demand, issued by TPN on behalf of the estate agent / landlord to the tenant. It indicates to the tenant the amount outstanding and due for payment, the property to which the rental relates, the estate agent / landlord and their contact details. The letter also warns the tenant of the consequences of non payment: legal action and the risk of being listed on the credit bureaus.

Channels of delivery:
• Posted
• SMSed
• Facsimile transmission
• Emailed

This product has been designed to assist the agent / landlord with the collection of rent due from all late paying tenants. The product should be implemented at the beginning of every month on all outstanding accounts.

All costs associated with sending the letter should be added to the tenant’s account as collection charges.
