Are there any other agents out there with the same problem I have? We're experiencing a new tendency among, especially but not exclusively, tenants going through financial difficulties damaging our properties. In most cases there is at least one month's rent outstanding, but the damage is in excess of R5000.00! We now have a property where even the 3 outside doors have been set alight and have to be replaced - in total almost R10 000.00 damage to the property. Can't we start naming and shaming them?

Do not have that problem really. I cannot see why you cannot name and shame them via TPN to prevent other people giving them a place. That is one purpose of TPN - sharing of no credit related info, right Michelle.
